If you searched for an OEKO-TEX certified yoga mat, you probably saw "Standard 100" on a label and want to know what it means for something you will press your hands, feet and face against. Very few mats show a certificate number you can look up. Manduka does, for its PRO Series, so this spotlight profiles that one mat instead of ranking several. The basis is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 only. There is no EWG rating behind it, and we do not claim one.
Why people look for an OEKO-TEX certified yoga mat
A mat sits under your skin and near your breathing for an hour at a time, and many are made of PVC. Shoppers who dislike strong new-mat smells or who are buying for a household with sensitive skin want something more concrete than "eco-friendly" on the box. A named certificate with a number is concrete. It is also easy to over-read, which is why the next section matters.
What OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tests, and what it leaves out
Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX is a testing and certification system that checks a product's materials for listed harmful substances against the mark's limits. It started with textiles, so seeing it on a PVC mat is a case of a textile-origin mark applied to another material. It does not describe the whole product lifecycle, it does not make a mat "non-toxic," and it is not a health or safety guarantee. It is also a different thing from an EWG rating. EWG VERIFIED® does not cover yoga mats, and we are not affiliated with EWG. For the same mark on other products, see our guides on OEKO-TEX Standard 100 on sheets and how the same mark works on clothing.
A short list by design
We looked for yoga mats where the maker publishes a readable Standard 100 certificate number. One cleared that bar and had a verified, purchasable listing. Rather than pad the piece with mats we could not back up, this is a single-product spotlight. If you want a different certification on a floor product, our GREENGUARD Gold play mat guide covers a different basis, and what MADE SAFE certified means explains another one.
Manduka PRO Yoga Mat: the certificate, the specs, the price
Manduka's help-center page for the PRO Series states: "The PRO Series is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (12.HUS.17706 | Hohenstein HTTI)." The page applies it to the PRO (6 mm), PRO Lite (4.7 mm) and PRO Travel (2 mm) mats. Manduka describes the mat as made in Germany from PVC, so if you are avoiding PVC for personal reasons, this is not your mat, and the certificate does not change that.
- Listing we checked: Manduka PRO Yoga Mat, Odyssey colour, 71 x 26 inches, 6 mm.
- Price: about $141 at the time of writing, with stock listed as limited. The seller on the buy box may be a third party, and other colours and lengths are separate listings we did not verify.
- Where we read the certificate: Manduka's EU help-center page. The US product page we checked did not show the OEKO-TEX text, so confirm the certificate against the mat you are buying.
- What we could not do: the OEKO-TEX label check is an interactive form that our tools could not complete, so the certificate is maker-stated, not independently confirmed by us.

How to check an OEKO-TEX certificate yourself
- Find the certificate number on the maker's page or the mat's label. For the PRO Series, Manduka lists 12.HUS.17706.
- Open the OEKO-TEX label check and enter the number along with the testing institute.
- Read the result for the holder name, the product covered and the expiry date. If your exact mat is not covered or the certificate has lapsed, treat the claim as unconfirmed.
The short version
The Manduka PRO is a reasonable answer if you want a named Standard 100 certificate on a durable 6 mm mat and you are comfortable with PVC. It is not an answer to "is this mat non-toxic," because no label can be. Check the certificate, read what it covers, and decide with that in view.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Manduka PRO yoga mat OEKO-TEX certified?
Manduka states that its PRO Series is certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, certificate 12.HUS.17706. We read that on the maker's page and could not complete the label check, so run it yourself.
Does OEKO-TEX Standard 100 mean a yoga mat is non-toxic?
No. It tests against published limits for listed substances and is not a guarantee. We make no health or safety claims of our own.
Does EWG certify yoga mats?
EWG VERIFIED® does not cover yoga mats, and we claim no EWG rating here. We are not affiliated with EWG.
What is the Manduka PRO made of?
Manduka describes it as made in Germany from PVC.
Does the certificate cover every Manduka mat?
Not per Manduka's wording, which ties it to the PRO Series.
