When you click a product link on NonToxicFinder and purchase that product from a participating retailer, NonToxicFinder (Solved Labs LLC) may receive a small percentage of the sale price as an affiliate commission. This is how we fund the operation of this site.

The price you pay is not increased by our affiliate relationship — you pay the same price you would pay visiting the retailer directly.

3. How Affiliate Links Work

Product selection on NonToxicFinder is based on ratings and designations published by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) — specifically EWG VERIFIED® status and top ratings in EWG’s Skin Deep® database. We do not accept payment from brands to feature their products.

5. Where You’ll See Disclosure on This Site

FTC guidance requires that affiliate disclosure be clear and conspicuous — meaning it must appear where users will see it before they encounter any affiliate link. The following placement rules are implemented on this site:

1. Site-wide persistent disclosure — A short disclosure statement appears in the site header (visible above the fold on every page) and in the site footer. This notice reads: “NonToxicFinder earns affiliate commissions from purchases made through links on this site.”
2. Top-of-article disclosure — Every article or guide page that contains affiliate links displays a prominent disclosure box before the first affiliate link appears in the page. This block is visually distinct (highlighted amber box).
3. Product block disclosure — Individual product pages that contain a “Buy on Amazon” or similar CTA button include a disclosure label adjacent to that button.
4. No buried disclosure — Disclosure is never placed only in the footer or on a separate page without a visible prompt. The FTC requires that users see the disclosure before they click an affiliate link — not after.
