If you are searching for a made safe certified mattress pad, you are probably trying to find out whether the MADE SAFE® mark shows up on something you can actually buy and put on a bed. It does. We found one we could verify: the Avocado Organic Cotton Mattress Pad Protector. This page explains what the mark covers, what it leaves out, and which listing we checked.

Short Answer: One MADE SAFE Certified Mattress Pad Protector We Could Verify

Avocado Green Mattress has an entry on the MADE SAFE® registry for its Organic Cotton Mattress Pad Protector, filed under mattress covers, pads and protectors. The entry says it is certified in all currently available sizes and varieties. We confirmed a working Amazon listing for the Queen size (6 to 16 inch mattresses), and it was in stock when we checked on October 22, 2026. We did not find a second mattress pad that we could match to both the registry and a buyable listing, so this is a one-product page instead of a ranked list.

What MADE SAFE Certifies, and What It Doesn’t

MADE SAFE® is a nonprofit certification program. It screens a product’s materials and ingredients against its lists of banned and restricted substances, and a product that fails the screen does not qualify. The registry page for this pad does not list screening details, so the MADE SAFE® Standards page is the place to read how the program works.

It is not a safety guarantee, and it does not tell you how well a pad fits your mattress or how it will feel to sleep on. MADE SAFE® is a separate organization from EWG, and no EWG rating or EWG VERIFIED® mark applies here. We are not affiliated with either one. For the longer explainer, read our guide to what MADE SAFE certified means.

The Avocado Organic Cotton Mattress Pad Protector

The registry lists this product as the Organic Cotton Mattress Pad Protector from Avocado Green Mattress. The Amazon listing we link is the Queen size, and it carries extra certification claims in its title that we could not verify, so we are not repeating them. Our only stated basis is the MADE SAFE® registry entry.

Certification basis: MADE SAFE®
Size we link: Queen, for mattresses 6 to 16 inches deep
Registry entry: verify on the MADE SAFE registry
Price when checked: $329.00 · ASIN: B0H3YXHZNZ

Who It Fits, and What It Doesn’t Cover

We link only the Queen size, because that is the listing we verified. The registry says the certification applies to all currently available sizes and varieties, but we have not checked other size listings, so confirm the exact product name on the page you are viewing. We describe it as a quilted mattress pad protector, the way the listing does, and we make no waterproofing claims. If you want to compare other protectors, our guide to organic mattress protectors covers more options, and our guide to MADE SAFE certified mattress toppers covers toppers. What to Check on Any Mattress Pad Listing

  • Search the brand and exact product name on the MADE SAFE® registry, then match the size.
  • Treat any listing claim you cannot match to a registry entry as unverified.
  • Check the mattress depth against the pad’s stated range. Fit is a separate question from certification.
  • Read the care label before washing.
